Cheap Gold Watches

 As a college student in the 1980s, Mudd wrote a series of humorous essays called "Popular Demand" for the weekly newspaper at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. He uses these historical relics -- "cheap gold watches," as he calls them -- to reflect on what life was like back then.
