According to his mother, Andy was writing before he could speak. Over the years, he learned that reality is more interesting than fiction.
Andy earned a B.A. in English from Mount Union College and an M.F.A. in Technical Design and Production from the Yale School of Drama. He taught Stagecraft and Theatre Design to students of every age from middle school to college in Ohio, New York, Florida, and Virginia. Much to his mother's delight, he has continued to write, and usually more eloquently than he can speak. His reality remains better than fiction.
In 2020, he retired from teaching and theatre. He lives on Northside of Henrico, Virginia, with two spoiled-rotten, middle-aged cats, Mikey and Max.
